The Cove: Fence Banners

(Summer 2024)

The Cove is a high-end residential development in Halifax’s Herring Cove, poised to redefine luxury living near the ocean. To build excitement and convey its premium positioning before launch, I was commissioned to design a series of large-scale construction fence banners. Leveraging The Cove’s existing logo and brand palette, these banners create visual intrigue and signal the arrival of an upscale community.

The Loch: Welcome Handbook

(South Shore Nova Scotia, 2024)

The Loch is a luxury holiday rental on Nova Scotia’s South Shore. I was commissioned to create a comprehensive Welcome Handbook that elevates guest experience from check-in to check-out.

Role & Responsibilities:

Defined structure, tone and branding in collaboration with the owner
Wrote all copy and designed layouts for a premium feel

Key Sections:

Welcome & Property Overview: Host welcome note, Wi-Fi code etc.
House Manual: Appliance use, safety guidelines, house rules.
Local “Top Picks”: Curated beaches, restaurants, hiking trails and markets.
Insider Tips & Contacts: Best sunrise/sunset spots, packing suggestions, emergency numbers

Result: Reduced guest questions by 30% and earned repeat-stay praise in post-visit surveys.

Alice House Mothers Day Direct Mail Campaign

(Spring 2024)

Alice House, a not-for-profit offering second-stage housing and counselling for women and children, asked me to design their Spring 2024 Mother’s Day direct-mail drive. Partnering with their Marketing Director, I defined the campaign concept - “Voice of a mother”.

My deliverables:

Campaign theme, tone, messaging and copy
Letterhead and envelope design
Donation card and pre-paid return envelope

I led content writing and visual design, and managed all stakeholder reviews and approvals to ensure the finished pieces resonated emotionally and drove donations.
